Wilson County TN is a county  located in the U.S. state of Tennessee. As of 2000, the population was 88,809. Its county seat is Lebanon and largest city is Mt. Juliet TN. Wilson County is part of the Nashville-DavidsonMufreesboroFranklin Metropolitan Statistical Area.

Lebanon TN has a combination of history and progress. It is the county seat located in the heart of Wilson County. Since the city's beginning in 1801 we have grown from an agricultural/livestock community into a blend of residential and commercial. With a population of approximately 25,000, Lebanon has maintained its small town charm. Located just minutes from Nashville on I-40, its convenient location has contributed to a strong industrial base and a thriving economy. Lebanon is known as the home to the headquarters of Cracker Barrel Ole Country Stores, and Cumberland University. It is also home to large distribution centers for Genesco and Bridgestone.

Lebanon TN Info- Has excellent shopping and dining can be found here as well. On and near the Town Square are some of the best antique shops in Tennessee. Not far from the square is Prime Outlets Mall, projections of over 2 million visitors per year. The City has many family and national chain restaurants, including O'Charleys, Applebee's, Chili's and its own Sunset, and Chop House.

If recreation is what you are seeking, plan to spend time in Don Fox Community Park. The 40 + acre public park includes a 20,000 sq.ft. stockade playground, 60 ft. diameter wading pool, sand volleyball courts, picnic pavilions, and Cedar City Trail. This 3.5 mile long greenway bike/walk trail follows along a beautiful creek. The city has completed a 56,000 sq. ft. family recreation and aquatics facility. Open to the public, the Jimmy Floyd Family Center has a gym, fitness and aerobic areas, racquetball, huge indoor/outdoor swimming pools and much more. Just a few miles south of the city is Cedars of Lebanon State Park, where 600,000 visitors come each year to enjoy swimming, horseback riding and camping. For other recreation, visit the area golf courses, lakes, bowling alleys and the City's tennis courts.

The Academy was founded as Castle Heights School in 1902. In 1918, it became a military preparatory school. The school ceased operations in 1986 in the face of declining enrolment. Its buildings have been restored and now serve as the Lebanon City Hall, Lebanon Museum and History Center.

Mt. Juliet TN is located approximately 17 miles east of Nashville on Interstate 40 and is only about 15 minutes from the Nashville International Airport. Mt. Juliet was formed in 1835 and became incorporated as a city in 1972. According to the Mt. Juliet Chamber of Commerce, the name of the town has two possible explanations. One theory is that the town was named for Julia Gleaves, a person who was renowned for taking care of those in need within the community. The most widely accepted story is that Mt.   • Wilson County, Tennessee has a public school system named Wilson County Schools.
  • Mt. Juliet has seven elementary schools, two middle schools, and one high school in the Wilson County School System.
  • Gladeville has one elementary school in the system and in a few years will have a middle school with the name of Gladeville/Rutland Middle.
  • Watertown, in the fall of 2007, changed its grade levels for each of the two schools in their city. Watertown Elementary changed from grades PK-6 to PK-8 and Watertown High School changed from grades 7-12 to 9-12.
